Position: Service Writer/Customer Service

Don's Auto Service in Belchertown, MA is seeking a Service Writer/Customer Service team member with outstanding people skills for a full-time position, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm (part-time may be available for the right fit). 


Located on Route 9 in Belchertown, we're committed to quality, innovation, community, and customer service.  Family owned and operated for more than 60 years, we've recently expanded our facility and are looking for a reliable team member to help deliver the excellent customer experiences we’ve built our reputation on.


Candidate must have experience in a previous customer-facing position, preferred experience in the automotive industry, and the ability to provide excellent customer service even when helping challenging customers. As a family-owned business, we are especially proud of our reputation for being customer-focused, fair, professional, honest, and friendly. We are looking for a person to join our team who shares our work ethic, ability to multitask, and dedication to the customer experience.




Responsibilities include answering the phone, scheduling appointments, greeting customers, and other tasks as needed to support the shop and team. Must be computer savvy and have experience (or willingness to learn) computer programs including QuickBooks and Tracs.




Previous experience (3-5+ years) in a customer service role preferred


Automotive knowledge preferred but not required


Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Strong customer service skills and ability to support challenging customers with professionalism


Team player


Careful attention to detail


Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills





No weekends, Mon-Fri     

Full-time: 8am – 5pm

Part-time: schedule may be available for the right fit


Hourly pay based on experience with paid vacation, sick time, and (select) holidays.
